Held in South Korea for the first time, Unpacked was heavily focused around Samsung's continued foray into foldable phones & how good their hinges are. The new Galaxy Z Flip 5 looks the same as the Flip 4, but increases it's external display to 3.4" and adds the newer Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Meanwhile the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is almost a carbon copy of last years' excluding the new hinge. Same cameras, same form-factor, same screen size. It was all a little underwhelming considering the price tag on these things. Hell, even MKBHD throws Samsung some shade (in the most fence-sitting, don't piss off the PR peeps kinda way). The Z Fold 5 starts at A$2,599 with 256GB storage and the Z Flip 5 at A$1,649. You can watch a shortened recap of the event over on The Verge, which also includes the new S9 tablets & Galaxy Watch 6.
