Intel's 6.2GHz CPU is a power hog, Apple might add Google's Gemini to iOS, Black Mirror gets renewed

• Intel's new Core i9-14900KS is the fastest consumer CPU they've ever sold, able to ramp up its clock speed to 6.2GHz with two cores - 2004 me would be very impressed, but in 2024 we all know that clock speed doesn't mean much on its own. In benchmarks it's not even that much faster than the Ryzen 9 7950X but uses a shitload more electricity.
• Bloomberg reckons Apple is in "active negotiations" with Google to put Gemini, their generative-AI tech, on the iPhone. The article elaborates that iOS 18 will feature a mix of Apple's own AI developments and 3rd-parties like Google and OpenAI. Apple's cold war with Google is over? We shall see what happens at WWDC in just 3 months time.
• Black Mirror, one of my all time favourite TV shows has been renewed by Netflix and will return in 2025. I really hope it's better than the last season which in my humble opinion, was shite. Also on Netflix and relevant to nerds, the Three-Body Problem kicks off on the 21st of March.
