Geek Girl Academy lists the ways girls & women are blocked from STEM careers

Geek Girl Academy has made a submission to the Federal Government's Diversity in STEM review. Titled "Enough Talk", they want to see the discussion move from how do we get women and girls interested in technology to how do we make it so women already interested actually stay there. At school, girls frequently have their passion for STEM crushed out of them, get poor career advice and have a lack of role models. Once employed, there's intolerable sexual harassment, then discrimination, unfair sacrifices and a lack of flexibility when it comes to having children. It's no surprise then that many girls and women are simply exhausted of all the nonsense in tech and move to more accommodating industries. The report is well designed and very easy to read if you want to learn more.
